The love story of Sassi and Punhu is also very famous in Pakistan. Sassi was the daughter of a Raja at that time and in their family the daughter was not expected to born because their royalty was being destroyed so the Raja ordered to kill her but her mother locked her in a wooden box and thrown in the Indus river. A poor person found that box and he had no child so he thought to adopt that baby girl he thought that baby is blessing from God for him. As the sassi grew up she became extremely beautiful and as the Bhambhore was the hub of trade that’s why the many caravans daily pass there and the stories regarding sassi’s beauty spread there and a Prince Punhu came to know about his beauty. The prince went as her house and met her face to face and they felt in love at the first time but the father of sassi refused because the Prince was not from their castle.

And he sent his other son at Bhambhore. Punhu’s brother threatened Punhu but he didn’t take them serious because his love for sassi was beyond that. So his brother planned a trick and in the celebration of the first night of marriage they mad Punhu heavy drunk and put him on the camel and brought back at their home land Makran. At the morning when sassi realized that Punhu cheated her she became mad and started barefoot twards Makran. She became thirsty and near a hunt asked for water from a man the man has dirty thought in his mind when he saw the beauty of sassi and tried to force him on sassi then sassi ran away and asked God to save her suddenly earth opened and she buried in earth.
